Holy crap its been a while!

Just wow. Never did I think that I would go so long without writing a blog post. But work, kids and life just got in the way. I would say sorry, but I’m not. Because it’s been fun!

So today this blog post is on a couple of photos that I have on my phone. I felt really hot that day so I thought I would share the love *snicker*.

On my face I have urban decay tease in the crease just to help my other shadow blend better. And on top of tease is GlamourDollEyes Outie3000. For my lid colours I have a plain cream coloured shadow out of a random pallet and it has no name (holy run on sentance batman). And on top of that is GlamourDollEyes glitter fix with you’re welcome patted on top to really bring out the sparkle. Kat von D liner, smashbox mascara and for the lips is cover girl entice. For foundation it’s Elizabeth Arden cream cerimide foundation in vanilla shell. Now for the pictures. Pardon the quality of them they are just plain old phone pictures.

Sisterhood of the travelling polish

So I received in the mail a couple of weeks ago a very beautiful custom made polish from a very special lady (Cat) the owner of eat sleep polish. This polish was created for a group of amazing women and online friends and bloggers, Lord knows what I would do without them.

The idea came from oh my swatch, she organized the whole thing and I am so happy that she did. I will be linking all of their blogs and social media accounts so that you guys can follow them to if you like.

On to the polish! (please excuse the nubbins in advance)

The sisterhood of the traveling polish is a grape linear holo with a hint of purple and blue shimmer in it. It’s a very opaque polish and coverage is as easy as one coat, I like too use 2 though to get a good even look. This thing glitters as you put it on. On my nails it dries to a more matte finish but still holds some of that shine.

image

I will be adding more pictures to this but you get the idea. It’s stunning! I just wish I would last more then 2 hours on my nails it chips and flakes off no matter what I do. Stupid nail chemistry.

All my life I’ve been referred to as the quintessential southern bell: blonde, stunningly beautiful, and overtly enchanting, but that was only the face I shared with the world; no one ever knew the hell I truly endured.

After returning to Savannah, I had everything I ever wanted: a new home, a handsome suitor, and the job of my dreams as an antique dealer. Little did I know that the choice to move on with my life would be the last decision I’d ever make.

My name is Jorja Graham and my story is proof that not every romance has a happy ending.

Want a peek into The Life and Death of Jorja Graham? Take a peek at this.

…Sometimes first impressions aren’t all that they seem. 🙂

EXCERPT:

Time to move on, Jorja. I put the car in reverse and started to back out of the driveway but quickly applied the brakes as my cell phone started to ring.

“Hello.”.

“Ms. Graham?”

“Yes, may I help you?”

“Well, I certainly hope so. My name is Corbin Holbrook and I’ve been told you will be the person handling the Rhyland estate sale.”

My eyebrow arched as I pondered all the ways I was going to strangle my aunts for giving this man my cell phone number. I’d told them to stall him, not give him direct access to my personal number. “Yes, I will be handling the estate once I return to Savannah, which won’t be for a few more days.” I lied–– obviously.

“Well the date of your arrival is irrelevant to me; I do, however, want to start discussing the speed and efficiency to which you’ll be able to finalize this sale.”

“I’m sorry, what? Did you speak with my aunts? Did they not inform you that I wouldn’t be available right away?”

“They did, but I will need your immediate attention when it comes to this sale. Are you not able to handle this? Because if that’s the case, I’ll find someone who can.”

I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at it like there was an alien on the other end of the line. Who did this jackass think he was? I shoved the car into park, seething with anger. Did I really need this job or should I just tell this arrogant ass where to go? Be nice or don’t be nice…the great debate had begun.

“Apparently I’ll need to find someone else then. If I’m able to render you speechless with a simple question, what will happen when I ask you something difficult?”

Jackass!

“Mr. Holbrook, you can attempt to find someone else but I can guarantee you that they will never be able to do the job I can. So you can either wait the next few days until I return home or you can indeed search for someone else. Either way, I will not be bullied into an assignment or unjustly questioned regarding my ability to do an effective job.” I grinned as I sat there, waiting for his response. That was as nice as I could muster under the circumstances.

Moments passed before I heard a gruff sound coming from the other end of the line. “You have three days and then I will be calling again. I do not appreciate your tone, but I can respect your conviction. I can only hope your talent is equivalent to the confidence you seem to have in your abilities. I cannot say it’s been pleasure, Ms. Graham, but I do look forward to expediting this acquisition.”

His voice was coated with disdain and something else I couldn’t put my finger on but I dismissed it as irrelevant. He was just another arrogant businessman who believed he could push people around to achieve his goals. I was done being pushed around though; today was a new day . I’d opted to take a page from my mother’s playbook when I responded , making sure my southern accent dripped ooey gooey sweetness.

“Well, I have no doubt, Mr. Holbrook, that you’ll be more than pleased with my work. You may even want to offer me a bonus for just how efficient I will be. I look forward to meeting with you soon. In the meantime , please feel free to contact the shop to set up an appointment and if you have any questions before then, I’m certain my aunts will be able to help you. Until then, Mr. Holbrook ,” I said with a slight smile.

“Until then, Ms. Graham.”

The line went dead seconds after he spoke my name. I gripped the steering wheel, wondering if I was a magnet for difficult people. This is a great gig. He doesn’t even live in the state. You can do this, Jorja… you can do this. My pep talk wasn’t really working, but I knew the moment I drove down the mile long drive to the Rhyland estate the trepidation I was feeling would fall to the wayside. My aunts were right , this was my dream assignment and I wasn’t about to let some egotistical jerk ruin it.

Review based on my own thoughts and words:

I received this book from the author for an honest review. This book is breathtakingly beautiful. Never have I felt such loss and such love all at the same time. The characters were spot on, Mackenzie is literally the perfect character, she gives you angst and passion, and devastation, and love all at the exact same time. This book had me in tears quite honestly for quite a while due to all of the emotions that were swirling in it. If there was only one criticism that I would give it would be that there just wasn’t enough of it. I wanted desperately there to be more to this book just so that I could keep reading it. Fantastic and I can’t wait to share this with all of my friends and family.

Excerpt:

I glance in, but the box is dark inside all of the tissue paper. My hands retrieve the first item. “Buckeyes!” I exclaim.

“I can see why she’s your best friend.” Dean leans on one elbow, watching me explore the contents one by one.

I reach in, continuing to pull out items—a black hair scarf with cherries, a pair of earrings from one of my favorite local jewelry designers in Cincinnati, Abbi Glines’s newest steamy romance. My cheeks go hot as Dean sees the cover, lifting his eyebrows.

“Well, I think that’s it,” I say, lifting the box, the sound of something shifting inside catching my attention. “Oh, there’s something else.”
I reach in, and as I do, I can feel Dean’s eyes locked on me. I feel something long and cool slip into my hand. Locking my fingers around it, I let the box fall away. Instantly, I see Dean straighten up, a half-cocked grin on his face.

Much to my horror, I look down to see a pink rubber penis-shaped device in my hand. I freeze, but my cheeks are on fire. All I can think about is the different ways I am going to torture Monica before I kill her.

“I can explain,” I begin. I’ll tell him she’s crazy—like actually certifiable.

He’s still grinning at me as he gives me a slight nod. He closes the gap between us even more.

“You know, I can help with that,” he offers, and I can’t help but wonder if he’s serious, or perhaps maybe I’m wishing.

“You think I’m that easy?” I hit the ball squarely back to him. I consider licking my lips, but worry that may be over the top. I’m looking directly at him, and damn, he’s incredible.

“A guy can hope.” He pauses, playfully lifting an eyebrow. “Can’t he?” I grin. In fact, I can’t do anything but grin. He moves closer, and I glance down, realizing I’m still holding the device. My breath hitches, but he still moves closer. He’s facing me, never moving those gorgeous blue eyes away from me. He slides his arm around my
waist, and as he presses himself against me, I’m sure I can feel an erection. This surprises me, and my hand releases the dildo, which falls to the floor with a thud.

“What’s wrong? Can’t contain your excitement around me?” he whispers, his breath warm on my neck, just below my ear. My mouth is watering, my heartbeat quickens, and my head is now spinning. I pull back, the distance giving me a slight bit of clarity. The idea of this kind of pleasure is tempting. The bulge in his jeans tells me he is interested.

In an attempt to casually conceal the pink rubber shaft, I use the toe of my platform sandals to kick it under a nearby chair. Dean cocks a brow, his face shifts, and he laughs softly.

“What?” I shrug innocently.

“Did you just kick a dick under a chair?” He’s still laughing.

“Watch it, or I might make a habit of it.”

“Ouch,” he hisses, then winces, grabbing himself as if he were imagining the attack.

My eyes dart past his shoulder, where Storm is coming up the stairs. She has on her headphones, staring at the face of her phone. I nod my head at Dean, indicating we’re no longer alone. I shift, moving to walk past him. He grabs my hip, pulling me into his grasp.

“We’ll continue this later,” he promises. He takes my hand and leads me past Storm and out of the bus without a word. I wonder if she can tell what had been transpiring from the look on my face.

As we move around the side of the bus, I feel his hand shift to the small of my back. It’s like he knows all the places to touch me to drive me absolutely insane.

Awakening and Sacred by Samantha Long (review and purchase links)

I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review from lovers of paranormal (linked) and the author Samantha Long (linked)

So this book started off really strange. Everyone was just kinda thrown into a setting and just right into action, there wasn’t really that much an introduction. The first 3 chapters are kind of a haze to me. The story and the characters of this book are very well written, you can tell that the author has invested a lot of time and emotion into this book, and its very much appreciated. What I didn’t like about this book though was the ending. I really hate cliffhangers like that. I don’t just walk up to the ledge and jump and not know what happens afterwards, it really bugged me. Bugged me enough that I was very happy that I had the second book already ready to go 🙂

Thank you for this opportunity!! I thoroughly enjoyed your books!

I was given this ebook for an honest review by lovers of paranormal (linked) and the author Samantha Long (linked).

I really enjoyed this book! It started off the first chapter reviewing what happened in book one in short form WHICH I LOVE BY THE WAY, and then just gets right down and continues the story line! This book I have to say though, was a little bit confusing, my head is still kinda muddled up because of it. This book almost seemed bi-polar in the way that it was written. There would be times when she started writing what seems to be a major part of the story, only to pull away literally right away! It kinda drove me a bit nuts. The ending of this book wasn’t nearly as bad as the first one though, no I’m going to jump off of this cliff see what happens in the next book… no she actually give a teeny tiny snit bit of information on the next book before she ends it, leaving the readers to be excited for the continuation of this series.

Overall a very good read and I can’t wait to read the next one whenever its released!

Cover for Part 1

I was given the ARC for an honest review from Lovers of Paranormal (Goodreads book club CHECK THEM OUT THEY ARE AMAZING!! ———> HERE!<———)

Thank you for giving me this chance to read and review this book!

This book grabbed me at the first chapter, took me approximately 4 hours to read and I had a hard time putting it down and going to bed. I start part 2 today and I’m pretty excited about it! Its a pretty fast paced book about a boy who is turning into a grim reaper before he is supposed to. It’s actually kind of hard to describe. There’s a lot of loss in this book, there is death surrounding everything (what did you expect its about death and grim reapers lol). You get to watch some of the characters grow and evolve into something else. I only gave this book 3.5 stars though, it was a very short read. And quite honestly I expected just a bit more out of part 1. Not to just leave me hanging like that. The characters are really thought out in this book, you can actually hear what they are saying when you are reading this, its very well written.

Cover for Dark Destiny Part 2

I was given this ARC for an honest review from the Goodreads group Lovers of Paranormal and by the author. Even though this book was free these are still my honest opinions of it.

Part 2 of this book, how to explain this without giving to much information away? I gave this book an easy 4 stars. This was a very quick read again. Part of me wants to speak to the author so that he can smoosh all 3 parts of this “series” or “trilogy” into just one book. I really hate finishing a book when I’m into the story like that, and it just ending abruptly with nothing else to fall on. This was a good book though, it develops more into his version of purgatory, then one most people would have though of. It has a very SLEEPY HOLLOW (TV series) type feel to it in that aspect. It’s kinda nice. Characters in it, most are all of the same as from book 1 but are a little bit more developed, you get into them a bit more and you learn about them just a little bit more, this book is more about death as a character him self though.

I’m very interested to see what book 3 brings, and even though I have no idea when it comes out, it will be one that I will buy and review! (I really hope that its soon so that I’m not left to hang like this lol) As always SUPPORT YOUR INDIE AUTHORS! YOU NEVER KNOW THE MAJOR GEMS ARE THERE UNTIL YOU PICK THEM UP!
