Synopsis via Goodreads: (YA version)
What if you knew when someone was going to die?
For seventeen-year-old Ember, life is death. With a simple touch, she knows when someone will die. It’s her curse and the reason she secludes herself from the world. The only person who knows her secret is her best friend Raven.
Then she meets Asher Morgan. He’s gorgeous, mysterious, and is the only person Ember can’t sense death from. So when he pushes into her life, she doesn’t mind. But when unexplained deaths start to haunt her town, Ember starts questioning why she can’t sense Asher’s death and what he may be hiding.

My Review: I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was a pretty damn good book, it kept me entertained and engaged in the characters. There was description and depth, there was emotion. There was everything that I hold near and dear in a good story. It was also about Death angels, and grim angels and grim reapers… Seriously how cool is that? I honestly love books like this. I also read the “New adult” version Ember-X to see how different it really was from the original YA version, and honestly its the exact same story, only there is a little bit of naughty in it. But its done tastefully. Jessica Sorensen from what I can tell has a really good knack at writing books like this, where she can do a YA and a Adult version. Love it!!

Synopsis via Goodreads: (YA Version)  Until Asher Morgan came along, nineteen-year old Ember’s life had always been about death. Being around Asher, though, and being able to be near him and touch him, changed her and made her feel alive for the very first time. But now he’s gone and she’s left dealing with her seclusion again, the emptiness of not being able to be touched, and the curse of the Grim Angel.

As a battle breaks out between Angels and Reapers, she desperately searches for answers about who she is, where she came from, and what she needs to stop the battle. But things get complicated when Cameron returns to her life and begins messing with her thoughts and emotions.

Ember tries to hold onto her sanity while the line between life and death begins to blur. Lives are threatened and taken. Murder is everywhere. She needs to figure out what’s real, what’s an illusion, and who she really has feelings for before it’s too late.

My Review : I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. You know the one thing I really hate about a series…. is when not all of the books are released so that I can just plow through them. I LOVED this book. I read it in 4 hours, if that. It was that good, it was a great pace, great dialog, great emotion, well you get the drift. It was just a fantastic book! I love how you can get so lost into a story that nothing seems to happen around you. Next thing you know, page after page your just more lost in the story. I loved the length of this book, it wasn’t to short so that it pissed me off and yet it wasn’t to long that I happened to lose interest in it. I cannot wait for the next book in this series! I’m so excited to find out what happens!!

I also read the New Adult version of this book and again the only read differences is that it can get a tiny bit naughty. But its done very tasteful. I would read another adult book of hers as it just doesn’t feel like smut yah know? SUPPORT YOUR INDIE AUTHORS!!!!
